Green Jalapeno – pronounced ‘Ha-Lay-Pain-Yo’ – chillies come from Mexico and are a staple ingredient of ‘Tex-Mex’ cuisine and probably one of the best known chillies, which range in heat from mild to hot and register on the Scoville scale at between 2,500-10,000 SHU. Our green jalapenos have a green, earthy flavour with a medium heat; they are heat treated to preserve their quality and freshness and are pre-cut to 1-3mm for ease of use.
