ASAFOETIDA POWDER is used to flavour foods like vegetable and lentil dishes and is used in traditional Indian Cuisine giving a flavour similar to garlic. ASAFOETIDA is used specifically in Ayurvedic cooking tradition for health and wellbeing because it contains the 6 tastes required daily by the body: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent.
